Really nice MJ. I love mimosa trees when they are in bloom (or even when they aren't). So graceful and delicate. And this butterfly just adds much more elegant beauty to the whole composition. Something that surprised me when we moved to this part of Florida two years ago was the absence of mimosa trees. I expected to find them everywhere, and have found a variety but not the kind I'm familiar with (like yours). I suspect the Florida botanical "purists" have named them an invasive species (like the Australian pine and Brazillian peppers) and are campaigning to eradicate these "furriners" from our pristine (if sandy) soil...
This is probably the first year that I have notice the beautiful mimosa plants, not something that is seen in my part of the world. The butterfly certainly loves it. Excellent capture against the blue sky mj. Love it.
